We have compiled the list of some of the most common questions about piano lessons and answered them for you.
Of course. The majority of my pupils either are beginners or played when they were a lot younger and want to pick it up again. I specialise in teaching beginner students of all ages, including adults.
Yes, my lesson times can be very flexible. If you are not able to have a weekly designated slot for your lesson, I am willing to work around your schedule to find something that works for us both. I am currently at university so I fit lessons around my studying also.
I teach all my piano lessons in Leicester from my dedicated teaching space, located on Westcotes Drive in Leicester, LE3 0SQ. My full teaching address will be provided upon your first lesson booking. My home teaching space is a great place to learn to play the piano, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
A keyboard will be fine to practice on, to begin with. Later on, if you decide to take grades, it may be a good idea to get some practice on a piano to develop your technique and also, to practice for examinations.
No, you don't have to take grades. It is completely up to you whether you want to take them or not. I am happy to teach people who would like to play for leisure and pupils that want to progress through the examinations. If students want to do classical grades, they will be entered under the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exams which you can find more information about at www.abrsm.org.
Please note that Piano Lessons Leicester operates a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. This means that if a lesson is cancelled within 24 hours of the arranged time the student will be charged the full price of the lesson.
